VALORANT Act 2: Battlepass, Deathmatch and Glitchpop Skins collection

A lot of details surrounding VALORANT ACT 2 have been surfacing lately & we are excited to share them with you. So let us show you everything that you need to know about the ACT 2 of VALORANT.

NOTE: VALORANT ACT 2 will be starting August 5.

Firstly, let’s go through the cosmetics.

The ACT 2 battlepass will feature a lot of skins just like in ACT 1.

GLITCHPOP SKINS COLLECTION:

A new skins collection is here, the Glitchpop skins collection. These skins are packed with playful yet deadly vibes. The collection comprises of skins for The Frenzy, The Bulldog, The Judge, The Odin and a combat knife(melee).

Have a look at different stickers that are featured on the glitchpop skins.

These stickers are super detailed and mostly related to food or creatures.The stickers were tricky to integrate into the skins because balancing & maintaining the identity was also important.

The skins comes with 7 different upgradable levels including 3 more variations for the basic skin.

Level 1 – Model only and Scope VFX. (Base skin)

Level 2 – Custom firing audio & muzzle flash.

Level 3 – Custom reload, equip effects and audio, logo hologram projections & custom inspect audio.

Level 4 – Kill banner and finisher.

Level 5 – Blue Chroma with VFX (Skin variation 1).

Level 6 – Red Chroma with VFX (Skin variation 2).

Level 7 – Gold Chroma with VFX (Skin variation 3).

GLITCHPOP FRENZY:

The devs had a lot of problems working with the frenzy because of it being a compact weapon, and missing the features of a rifle. Still the devs think it is one of their finest work and consider it the most unique skin in the collection.

GLITCHPOP BULLDOG:

GLITCHPOP ODIN:

Odin was chosen because it has a really nice firing cadence, which is something the creators were looking for.

GLITCHPOP JUDGE:

The Judge was chosen for the same reason as the Odin, also the loud sound gave the audio FX artists a lot of room to work with.

Last but not the least, 

GLITCHPOP KNIFE:

The Glitchpop melee has a sleek look with vibrant color tones. It randomly changes colors each time you equip it, colors are pink,green & bluish-purple.

The knife has 2 levels 1 basic and 1 upgraded.

Each individual skin in the collection costs 2,175 VP (VALORANT Points), while the knife costs 4,350 VP.

You can grab the whole bundle for a discounted price of  8700VP, and comes with exclusive card, spray, and gun buddy too.

Fun fact: The skin collection CyberPunk(name strings found inside game files) was a codename for Glitchpop collection.

Now, moving on to the gameplay aspect.

Killjoy, the new agent for VALORANT will be featured in ACT 2. Killjoy is from German origins and has some amazing semi-support abilities.

DEATHMATCH MODE:

Players have been asking for a deathmatch mode for quite a while, also there were many strings for the same found in patch 1.03 and patch 1.04.

There will be two deathmatch modes, regular and FFA(Free for all).

Every player will spawn with heavy armor. The objective will be to get 30 kills or have the most amount of kills after the match ends (Time limit for this mode is speculated to be 6 mins). Players have the freedom to use any gun they desire to use. Respawn is available 3 seconds after death, and respawn will grant players 8 seconds of invulnerability which will go away if they fire or move.

HEALTHPACKS- After every player’s death a small health pack will be dropped which will expire within next 10 seconds, running over the health pack will restore health.

UAV- After every 5 seconds a radar will reveal enemy locations, this is to prevent players from camping and to force them to take fights.
