Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will be getting an Anime Adaptation soon

Video game adaptation has become the new trend now. Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will be adapted as an anime series on the streaming platform Netflix.

Splinter Cell is a series of stealth based action video games developed by Ubisoft.

The series revolves around the protagonist Sam Fisher, a former Navy seal working for the NSA’s top secret agency called “The Third Echelon”.

The first ever Splinter Cell game was released in 2002 and since then the franchise has released many titles for the series such as Blacklist, Pandora Tomorrow, Conviction, Double Agent and more.

Two seasons have been confirmed, and both the seasons will be written and produced by American screenplay writer Derek Kolstad.

Derek has been the writer for all 3 John Wick movies, The Package starring Steve Austin (Retired professional wrestler), and many other movies. He also has written the screenplay for Marvel’s upcoming TV series ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’.

What will be the storyline about?

There’s no confirmation whether the series will have a complete standalone story or it will dbe based on the game. But, we can expect the show to draw a lot from it’s game series’ stories. May it be the NSA secret agent story about The Third Echelon, or the storyline of SC: Blacklist(2013), the most recent addition to the franchise where we saw Sam Fisher heading the Fourth Echelon after dissolving the Third Echelon.

This isn’t the first adaptation we’ve seen involving Ubisoft. Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is based on “Ryanverse” created by Tom Clancy, you can stream it on Amazon Prime.

Also we saw the Assassin’s Creed Movie released in 2016 based on Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Splinter Cell has a huge fan base and that is exactly why it has a good chance to be a successful adaptation.
