Stardew Valley now has an esports tournament
Stardew Valley, the farming simulation RPG now has an esports tournament. ConcernedApe, the creator & developer behind Stardew Valley has announced a ‘Stardew Valley Cup‘.

The tournament has been announced in association with Unsurpassable Z, a Stardew Valley content creator. The event will take place on September 4th, 9 AM PST.
To learn more about the players participating, and the challenges for the event, watch the below video by Unsurpassable Z.
Now that the challenges have been revealed, each team can view the challenges and create a plan to complete the most number of challenges and achieve the highest points.
Unsurpassable Z will also be introducing other challenges that the teams won’t know in advance. There will be 5 of such challenges each of which will be worth 50 points. The idea behind it is to get the players to take risks by taking a different route from their pre-determined plan, to earn the additional points.
As the tweet mentions, the Stardew Valley Cup has a prize pool of over $40,000. The entire prize pool is $43,600 in total. Refer to the prize distribution table below.

It’s going to be interesting to see the outcome considering the randomness factor of the game and the additional challenges that will be dropped during the event.
