It quickly became a huge talking point. Some in the community pointed at Valve for not fixing the bug in time, while others pulled out clips from the past matches, where the bug was giving away vital info to coaches.

CSGO received a small update on September 1st which “fixed several exploits”.

Although the patch notes didn’t mention anything about a spectator bug, Michal Slowinski, a freelance esports referee tweeted out on September 2nd claiming that the spectator bug was fixed.

Nors3, a well known and respected CSGO community figure replied, bringing attention to Valve’s silence on the matter.

Valve pushed the update within next 24 hrs to fix the bug exploit, but didn’t mention about the bug anywhere, just like they didn’t express a stand on the situation of certain coaches being banned for exploiting the bugs.

This shows that Valve is trying to hide their mistake of not fixing the bug in time. Valve is yet to release their statement on the topic.
