Serious Sam Collection is coming to consoles soon

There’s a good news for Serious Sam fans, especially those who own a Nintendo Switch or Playstation 4 or Xbox One console. Devolver Digital has announced that Serious Sam Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch tomorrow, i.e. November 17 and to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well.

Serious Sam Collection is three different games of the franchise combined into one single experience. The collection includes Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter and Serious Sam 3: BFE(Before First Encounter). ‘The Legend of the Beast’ and ‘Jewel of the Nile’ DLCs are also included in the collection. The collection is coming to Nintendo Switch this month on November 17.

Serious Sam Collection first launched on Google Stadia back in February. Here’s the official game trailer for Stadia,

Serious Sam is a series of action-adventure FPS games developed by Croteam, a company that recently got acquired by Devolver Digital in October. The game sees the protagonist, Sam “Serious” Stone go up against aliens in a battle to save humanity. The game has a local co-op mode where you can go up against hordes of aliens with upto 4 other players. The game also features other modes like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, etc.

Serious Sam Collection is just 4.1 GB in size and  will be available for $29.99 on the Nintendo Game Store. It will release on Nintendo Switch on November 17. Interested gamers can add the game to their wishlist by visiting Nintendo’s official website.

That’s not all. A twitter user ‘@exploringtheisl’ asked if a console version would come out, to which the official account for Serious Sam replied “I think I could be talked into it. Do your best.”

And, later the same day it was announced that the game will also be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This also means, you can play the Serious Sam Collection on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S with backwards compatibility, although there won’t be any visual enhancements for next-gen.
