‘Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’ gets a free GOTY update
FromSoftware yesterday released a free GOTY update for the 2019’s Game of the Year Award winner game, ‘Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’. The update includes several new features such as the ability to rematch bosses, perform player movement recording, tackle boss gauntlets and new outfits too.

Reflections of Strength:
The update lets players take part in ‘Reflections of Strength’, allowing them to re-match against any of the defeated bosses. Players can access the Sculptor’s Idol to replay the boss fight. Players can re-match only against previously defeated bosses.
Gauntlets of Strength:
The ‘Reflections of Strength’ will help you prepare for ‘Gauntlets of Strength’. Gauntlets of Strength features single-life challenge boss rush, meaning you will have to face all the bosses, one by one and will have only one life to complete the challenge. The Gauntlet will feature bosses like Father Owl, Guardian Ape, Genichiro Ashina, True Corrupted Monk and more.
Dying to any boss will result in a loss of progress and the player will have to start over again.
Outfits:
The update also adds new unlockable outfits. The update offers three new outfits, including “Tengu”, “Old Ashina Shinobi” and “Shura“. Players will be able to unlock two the three outfits by playing Gauntlets, while the third will be unlocked by completing the game once.
All outfits will be purely cosmetic and will not affect the core gameplay in any form. Players will be able to change the outfits by accessing the Sculptor’s Idols.
Remnants:
Remnants are recordings of upto 30 seconds that are available after the game’s tutorial. Players can record their fights and upload with custom messages. The other community members will be able to play back the moments to learn a new trick or a good execution on the enemy or just watch for fun.
If a community member rates a player’s remnant, the HP of the owner of the clip will recover for free, allowing him to get back into fights without using a consumable or the Sculptor’s Idol.
This update is part of the GOTY(Game Of The Year) Edition for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and is freely available to all existing owners of the standard game.
