Rocket League’s Frosty Fest 2020: New modes, items and more
Rocket League’s Frosty Fest event will begin today. Frosty Fest is an annual season event in Rocket League which brings new challenges, LTMs(Limited Time Modes) & more to the game every year. This is the fourth Frosty Fest event since its start back in December 2017.
This year we have a lot of new items, returning items from previous Frosty Fests, challenges, LTMs and more. Some of the seasonal items include Holiday Bow Topper, Xmas Lights Animated Decal, Holiday Hearth Wheels, etc. The event also brings back ‘Golden Gifts’, which includes the items from Elevation, Accelerator & Triumph Series.
Players can complete the event challenges listed in the challenge menu to unlock some of the above mentioned season items as rewards.
There’s also a free item called ‘Mr. Floeberg Antenna’. The “festive snowman Antenna” can be claimed in the Item Shop throughout the Frosty Fest event.
Here’s a list of items and the challenges to unlock them

| Snowstorm Decal | Get 20 shots on goal in online matches |
| Snowman Avatar Border | Get a save and a win in a single match |
| Holiday Hearth Wheels | Get 20 centers in Snow Day Extra Modes matches |
| Fireworks Boost | Get 20 assists in online matches |
| Xmas Lights Decal | Get 15 saves or epic saves in online matches |
The Frosty Fest event begins on December 14 at 10:30 p.m. IST and will go on till January 04, 2021.
Here’s the full event schedule:
- December 14: Frosty Fest will begin with Winter Breakaway LTM at 10:30 p.m. IST (i.e. 9 a.m. PST & 5 p.m. UTC).
- December 21: Spike Rush LTM will return
- December 28: Heatseeker LTM will return
- January 04: Frosty Fest will End
Apparently all the three LTMs will be played on snowy arenas. Also, Frosty Fest will be the final in-game event of this year.
As the blog post says, “Be on the lookout for additional festive items in the Item Shop!”, there might be more items coming to the Item Store during the event.
