IO Interactive has confirmed that they will not be using the likeness of any actor to portray the digital James Bond. A Bond and a Bond story never seen before does seem like an interesting prospect.
“[It] was very important for us that it wasn’t a movie adaptation.” said Abrak. The developer’s aim is not to create a movie adaptation but an origin story game which takes inspiration from the whole franchise.
“It’s very important that we could create a digital Bond. A Bond for the gaming industry..”, said Abrak during the chat discussing the importance of a new Bond and the uniqueness that it brings. He also mentioned that EON Productions[owner of the James Bond Franchise] agree with him that the result will probably be better creating a unique digital Bond.
Abrak said, “I’m really looking forward to creating a new community that the gamers can call their own“. Like a gaming community starting from the scratch and growing together, he said.
