Outriders developer will share “specific details” about the issues with the game’s launch

Outriders, the RPG coming from People Can Fly recently had a bumpy launch on April 1st. The game launched with several issues that stopped players from connecting. Players struggled with connecting to the game servers and those that did connect were getting disconnected.

People Can Fly did offer a temporary workaround.

The tweet offers a workaround that let’s you join a session. Instead of pressing continue in the lobby, you should select a starting point and then launch. This will make sure you don’t get stuck on the loading screen. This of course is a temporary workaround till PCF figures out a way to fix it.

A twitter user questioned about the issues asking for a “proper post mortem”. His tweet said that he would like to know what went wrong and “lessons learnt”.

Here’s the full reply to the tweet:

We’re still continually working through it all, but we’re hoping to in the near future share more specific details about what’s going on and what we’ve been doing about it,” the Outriders said in the tweet.

The game launched recently so it isn’t that big of a problem but still for a multiplayer RPG game coming from a prominent publisher like Square Enix it’s a little worrisome.

The developers are working on fixing the issues and request the player base not to judge the game too early as they have been working on it for years. They don’t want the players to judge the game based on the issues related to the game servers.
