Octro Inc announces the worldwide launch of ‘Octro Poker’
Octro Inc announces the worldwide launch of Octro Poker an immersive 3D poker app. The game is available to be played in real-time in different modes- Blind Poker, 5 Card Poker, and Slots in Texas Hold’em variant and has 3D visuals with features like player personalizations, private tables with voice chat, detailed player statistics, poker tournaments, and rewards. Funded by Sequoia Capital, Octro Inc. already runs a 3 card casino mobile game- Teen Patti in India.
Commenting on the new game, Saurabh Aggarwal, Founder & CEO, Octro Inc. says, “Our vision is to build Octro Poker as a destination for #allthingspoker. The game has been designed for the worldwide market, with a special focus on private tables (home games) with voice chat, where players can choose to play only with their friends. Game and Player statistics (VPIP, PFR, Raise/Fold%, etc.) that we show at the end of every game on the private table are industry-first globally. We will soon be launching multi-table tournaments and private clubs!”
The recent increase in the number of time people spend online has brought about a resurgence in online poker. Since social distancing and lockdowns took effect, online poker playing has increased by more than 50 percent in certain countries. New players are also eager to get into the game, with first-time poker players increasing by more than 200 percent in the same period.
Headquartered in India, Octro is at the forefront of launching globally scalable leisure options and Octro Poker is the first step in this direction. Octro has already acquired a leadership position in TeenPatti and PlayRummy in India. Seep and Octro Tambola are few other titles from Octro which are monopolies and have witnessed significant growth in the gameplays. The growing popularity of online games has given a whole new boost to the gaming ecosystem. Currently in India, the market is growing at 40% annually and is expected to touch $14 billion by 2025.
