NVIDIA showcases ray tracing in Fortnite
NVIDIA recently dropped a new video showcasing the power of ray tracing in Fortnite. The cinematic trailer by NVIDIA shows off how using ray tracing improves the world details in Fortnite.

“Experience Fortnite in a new light with NVIDIA ray traced shadows, global illumination and ambient occlusion.” the video description says(Source: NVIDIA via YouTube).
The video shows how ray tracing can render a virtual yet realistic world in Fortnite. The ray tracing technology adds more detail to characters, objects and other entities/assets in the world. You can clearly see that the water reflections are better, the mirror reflections are realistic, the shadows and the overall lighting is improved. The difference is easily noticeable in both the surrounding objects and the characters.
Judging from the video, Fortnite with ray tracing on looks amazing. While some aren’t interested in ray tracing and better visuals, this cinematic video makes you rethink about it. But to experience all of this players will need to buy a graphic card that supports ray tracing technology.
