Noble Esports sign a Wild Rift roster in India

The North American organization Noble Esports has announced their League of Legends: Wild Rift roster, and it is from India.

This is Noble’s second signing in India, the first being a Valorant roster consisting of former CSGO players like Simar “psy” Sethi, Tejas “Rex” Kotian and others.

Have a look at their Wild Rift team announcement trailer:

For their Wild Rift roster Noble has signed ex-DOTA 2 veterans like Jeet “Swifty” Kundar,  Raunak “Crowley” Sen, Amit “Zapheto” Malwal & Shahab “Divine” Saleha and former League of Legends player Kirk “Capt Kirk” Stephen.

The complete Noble Esports Wild Rift lineup looks like this:

PlayerRole
Divine (Team Captain)Mid Lane
Capt KirkADC (Attack Damage Carry)
SwiftyTop Lane
CrowleyJungler
ZaphetoSupport

Who are they?

Swifty:

Jeet “Swifty” Kundar is a former professional DOTA2 player who has competed in teams like Global Esports, Avengers and Signify. He is known for his first place finishes in big tournaments like Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup 2019, ESL India Premiership 2019 Masters League(Fall and Winter) and many more.

Swifty will be playing in the Top Lane in the team.

Crowley:

Raunak “Crowley” Sen is a former professional DOTA2 player who has cemented himself as one of the top MOBA players with first place finishes in tournaments like like Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup 2019, ESL India Premiership 2019 Masters League(Fall and Winter) and ESL India Premiership 2018 (Fall, Summer & Winter).

Crowley will be playing the Jungler role for the team.

Divine:

Shahab “Divine” Saleha is a former professional DOTA2 player who has played for prestigious organizations like Yuvin Esports & Entity Gaming in the past. He was the first player officially announced to join Noble Esports Wild Rift team as the team captain back in October.

Divine is the captain of the team and will be playing Mid Lane, often considered the most difficult role in the game.

Zapheto:

Amit “Zapheto” Malwal is a former professional DOTA2 player who has played for teams like Entity Gaming and Reckoning Esports. Zapheto placed first with the Entity Gaming lineup in ESL India Premiership 2019 Summer Masters League Phase 2. And, later he and his team finished second place in the Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup 2019 tournament, while team Global Esports’ lineup with Swifty & Crowley took first place.

Zapheto will be playing the support role for the team.

Kirk:

Kirk “Capt Kirk” Stephen is a professional League of Legends player who has competed under teams like Entity Gaming and Team Ruthless. He is mostly known for his second place finish with the Team Entity lineup in the IGE South Asia Cup 2018 LoL tournament.

Capt Kirk will be playing ADC(Attack Damage Carry, also referred as Marksman) role for the team. ADC are champions that deal heavy damage and can be crucial in the mid to end game scenarios.

All the players have competed for their respective esports titles in some of the best Indian teams in the past, and they bring their years of MOBA experience over to Wild Rift. Overall the lineup looks really strong, but how will they fare off against other teams? Will they be able to be the best? There’s only one way to find out, which is watching them compete. So, we will probably have to wait for Wild Rift’s official launch to find out how they fare against other teams.

Yes, in case you didn’t already know, League of Legends: Wild Rift is yet to be released. The game is still in open beta stage and while there is no official date announced yet some have speculated that the game will launch in December while others speculate that the game will launch sometime in February or March of 2021.

Some might find it weird that Noble has signed an esports team for a game that is not yet launched. This upcoming game by Riot is built with a vision of making it a mobile esports title, and that is probably the reason organizations like Noble are investing in Wild Rift teams.

As of now, Noble now has two signed Indian esports teams competing under their Noble Esports banner in two different esports titles, ‘Valorant’ and the upcoming mobile game ‘League of Legends: Wild Rift’.

It looks like Noble Esports wants to expand its foothold in Asian esports scene.
