Halo Infinite developers are “very committed” to Holiday 2021 release, says Phil Spencer

Xbox Head, Phil Spencer says that the Halo Infinite developers are committed for a Holiday 2021 release. During the Dropped Frames Podcast, episode 280, Phil Spencer said, “For us, we know kind of our range in the 3-4 week range,” said Spencer. “We don’t have yet the exact day – there’s some other things with some other game timing that we’re trying to look at. We’ll have better clarity over the summer, but this isn’t a months thing, this is just down to a few weeks.” (Source: Destructoid)

Halo Infinite, the sixth main entry in the Halo series is supposed to release sometime in Holiday 2021.

Spencer asks the fans to wait for a solid date. “Instead of picking this date and having to move it by a week, which at this point would feel like a fail, like we don’t want to do that, let’s wait until we’re really solid on what the date is,” said Spencer. “But the team is very committed to holiday. We feel good about that … I feel good about the confidence we have in both quality and getting the game done.”

No one likes a game getting delayed, but many time dead lines are not met. We saw many games getting delayed last year and even this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, Halo Infinite probably won’t get delayed, at least it looks that way.

Overall, this is a really good and reassuring news for the Halo fans as the developers having a release window in mind also suggest that the game is almost ready for launch.

If you are someone who has not played Halo before and are not hyped, you should be. Because the Halo Multiplayer is going to be free to play and you definitely will want to try that out once the game comes out.
