Halo Infinite cosmetics might not be “true to the franchise”, could be similar to Apex Legends

According to popular leaker Tom Henderson, Halo Infinite cosmetics will be different from the franchise’s traditional cosmetics.

In a tweet, he mentioned, “If you think Halo Infinite cosmetics are going to be “true to the franchise”, you’re in for a surprise.

Henderson compares the cosmetics with the ones in Apex Legends, another popular free-to-play first-person shooter game. “It seems like they are going down a similar route to Apex Legends to me, with a lot of wacky stuff“, he said.

Now, this might come as a shock to the Halo fans. The real question is how the hardcore Halo fans would react to the said “wacky” cosmetics because we don’t know exactly how “wacky” these cosmetics would be.

Perhaps we’ll have a better idea when Microsoft reveals the first battle pass. Apparently, the first season for Halo Infinite called “Heroes of Reach“, will have cosmetics themed around ‘Halo Reach‘, a popular title in the Halo franchise. So we should expect the wacky cosmetics by season 2 (Thanks GamesRadar).

As Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will be free-to-play, it makes sense for Microsoft to design & monetize the in-game cosmetics and battle pass rewards in such a way that it would be suitable for not just the Halo fans, but the wider player base.

He also mentioned that apparently there’s a snowman skin which probably would release in time for Christmas.
