GTA 5 will run at 4K 60 FPS, says PlayStation Germany
On the PlayStation Germany website, the company shared a blog post where the games coming to PlayStation 4 & 5 in 2021 were listed, PlayStation Germany mentioned GTA V as the game’s upgraded version for the PS5 is coming out later this year.
In the blog post, PlayStation Germany mentioned that the game will run at 4K 60 FPS (Thanks GamesRadar). “You have never seen the criminal metropolis Los Santos so beautiful when the skyline shines thanks to a bold graphic update in crisp 4K resolution and you make the city extremely smooth and unsafe thanks to a smooth 60 FPS.“, says the post.
This could very well be true, considering how powerful PS5 is. The interesting fact is, both PlayStation and Rockstar Games, the developer, hadn’t mentioned it before.
The upgraded GTA 5 is an “expanded and improved” version of the game, for the newer PS5 console. The upgraded version will have visual and performance improvements. Playing on 60 FPS definitely makes a big difference, as compared to playing on 30 FPS. It will be interesting to see how the game will actually run on the PlayStation 5 console. The upgraded version of GTA V for PS5 is set to launch on November 11, 2021.
Since the PS5 probably would be able to run the game at 4K 60 FPS smoothly, one can assume it would run the same on the equally powerful Xbox Series X. But will the comparatively less powerful Xbox Series S be able to deliver a similar performance, is the real question here.
Also, Horizon Forbidden West was missing from the list. Now, this could be due to there being no exact launch date, but it could also mean that the game has been delayed. According to earlier rumors, the game has been delayed internally.
