Godzilla is coming to Fall Guys

Mediatonic, the developer behind ‘Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout’ has announced that a Godzilla costume will be coming to the game very soon.

The Godzilla costume will be introduced as part of a limited-time event starting November 3. The new costume/skin will be available in the in-game store for 10 Crowns in total.

Godzilla the monster made its first appearance in Toho’s “Godzilla” on November 3, 1954. Now, the date is officially considered as Godzilla’s birthday. A Godzilla Festival also known as G-FEST is celebrated every year on November 3 in Japan in devotion to the Godzilla film franchise and other kaiju.

Mediatonic and Toho Co., Ltd. are collaborating to celebrate the festival by introducing a new costume based on Godzilla.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Mediatonic on this Godzilla costume. With only two months since launch and boasting millions of players worldwide, ‘Fall Guys’ presents such an exciting opportunity for Godzilla fans everywhere,” said Lora Cohn, Managing Director, Toho International, Inc. “Now, players will get to celebrate Godzilla Day in such a unique way by putting on the Godzilla suit and stomping their way to victory!” (Source: indigo-pearl.prezly.com

“There are many parallels to be drawn between the mighty Godzilla and an average Fall Guy; they are both fiercely competitive, they battle on an international stage with incredibly high stakes, they always get back up after being knocked down, and according to worrying reports from our social media channels, they are both much taller than you’d expect,” said Jeff Tanton, VP of Creative, Mediatonic. “We are proud and deeply honoured to share the stage with the greatest Kaiju – and if anyone is still struggling to get a crown with this costume, though it may sound primitive and un-scientific, we recommend that through the fairies, they could perhaps ask Infant Island for help?” (Source: indigo-pearl.prezly.com)

This isn’t the first time Fall Guys has collaborated with some brand. In the past, Fall Guys has collaborated with other media brands too, such as Gris, My Friend Pedro and perhaps the most notable Sonic the Hedgehog from SEGA.

Even though recently the numbers have dipped a little, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is still doing pretty good and is still played by a lot.

Mediatonic is consistently pushing out content updates to the game as they don’t want players to get tired of playing it.
