Global Esports announces DoGE Cup with a prize pool of 50,000 Dogecoin
Global Esports has announced DoGE Cup, a tournament where the winning prize is 50,000 Dogecoin, the crypto currency based on the popular Doge meme.
Dogecoin has become quite popular as it’s loved by the community for the meme behind it. Doge is a dog of the Shiba Inu breed.
Another reason for Dogecoin becoming so popular is that it was also promoted by Elon Musk and big influencers such as Gene Simmons & Snoop Dogg.
The tournament won’t be offering any cash prize, instead it will offer the cryptocurrency DogeCoin.
Rushindra Sinha, CEO and Founder of Global Esports shared a video on YouTube talking about the tournament.
DoGE Cup will be a fun tournament for Valorant and Free Fire where streamers, content creators, influencers and professional esports athletes all will play alongside each other.
Here are the tournament details:

- Teams: 8 Invited Teams
- Format: Round Robin
- Dates: 5th – 7th April 2021
- Time: 2pm Onwards
- Criteria: Each team is required to have minimum 3 Pro Players & 2 Influencers (10k subs or more) [Teams can have additional subs as long as the playing 5 are in the above mentioned format]
Free Fire:
- Teams: 12 Invited Teams
- Format: 12 Matches Total [6 Each Day]
- Dates: 3rd – 4th April
- Time: 2pm Onwards
Global Esports wants the community to take full advantage of the tournament and hence have announced that all the content from the tournament will be copyright free.
Rushindra Sinha also said that all the proceeds from the DoGE Cup tournament will go to their community tryouts.
