Far Cry 6 release date reportedly leaked

Are you waiting for Far Cry 6? If yes, we’ve got a good news for you. A new Microsoft Store listing has leaked the game’s new release date.

The game has been in development for years now. The game was initially scheduled to release on February 18, 2021, but later delayed as the COVID-19 pandemic had impacted the game’s production.

According to an updated listing on Microsoft Store, Far Cry 6 will release on May 26, 2021.

Far Cry 6 is an upcoming first-person shooter and the sixth installment in the main Far Cry franchise developed and published by Ubisoft. It will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and cloud gaming services Amazon Luna & Google Stadia.

The game takes place on Yara, a fictional island country in the Caribbean ruled by a fascist dictator. Popular American actor, Giancarlo Esposito is portraying the character “El PresidenteAntón Castillo in the game. Anton Castillo is the dictator of Yara and the main antagonist in the game.

The player plays as Dani Rojas a local resident who attempts to restore the country back to its former glory. The player will be able to choose character’s gender. Also, this time the protagonist will have a voice, unlike its predecessor Far Cry 5.

Whenever such a listing occurs, the publisher usually announces the release date soon after.  So, perhaps we might see Ubisoft confirm the release date for Far Cry 6 in the coming days.
