FalleN decides to step down after MIBR part ways with TACO, fer and dead

Veteran Brazilian Counter Strike IGL and sniper FalleN has decided to step down from the active lineup of Team MIBR. This announcement was made via Twitter a few hours after MIBR benched Epitacio ‘TACO‘ de Melo & Fernando ‘fer‘ Alvarenga and released coach Ricardo “dead” Sinigaglia.

The decision of benching the players and the coach was made by the organization themselves and FalleN wasn’t part of the decision process in any way. FalleN has now requested to bench himself too.

MIBR has announced that they have benched TACO, fer and coach dead from active roster, effective immediately.

MIBR quoted, “We are living in a moment where it is important for MIBR and MIBR fans to make changes and we will be making some adjustments to the roster over the next several weeks. Today, we say goodbye to Taco, Fer and Ricardo from our active roster. The rest of the MIBR roster will be retooling and getting ready for fall events including Blast and Flashpoint 2. Thanks to Taco, Fer and Ricardo for their efforts representing MIBR.”

The decision was likely made due to the consistently poor results despite minor changes to the lineup. MIBR also lost its RMR points after ESL & Beyond the Summit banned coach Ricardo “dead” Sinigaglia for 6 months after he was found exploiting a spectator bug.  ESIC also recommended other member organizers to honor the six months ban.

“I’m not satisfied with the recent decision. Last weeks have been tough and challenging and that is why I’m asking to leave the active roster while I think on my next steps.”, said FalleN in the post.

FalleN assured, “The only thing I’m sure is this isn’t where the game ends for me”. ”With my arms open I look for the next chapters”.

Now, the only 2 active members on the MIBR roster are Alencar ” trk” Rossato and Vito “kngV” Giuseppe.

FalleN, fer, TACO & coldzera, the core Brazilian lineup have competed together under Luminosity and SK Gaming and won 2 CSGO Majors before joining MIBR. coldzera was benched on July 12th 2019 and then transferred over to FaZe Clan.

We can expect the players to be on bench for months to come due to their contract, similar to how coldzera was before being trasferred to FaZe Clan.

This might or might not be the end of an era for the storied Brazilian legends, but it for sure is beginning of another for the Brazilian CS scene.

These very well might be, “the bigger changes to the roster and/or to its culture” Wilton “zews” Prado(former MIBR coach) was talking about.

Former CSGO pro, now analyst Jacob “Pimp” Winneche also commented on the matter

As most of the Tier 1 Brazilian talents are already signed, it is likely that MIBR will explore other options outside, perhaps in the NA region.
