Epic Games’ Unreal Engine annunciates ‘The Women Creators Program’

Epic Games’ Unreal Engine annunciates ‘The Women Creators Program’, which will select India’s talented women producers & VFX professionals to participate in a 4 weeks-long virtual training and mentoring program. The program, starting April 19, 2021, will select 15 women to be mentored by former Unreal fellowship graduates along with Unreal Engine evangelists. The program aims to inspire and train women creators and form a community of creators.

The program was announced through a panel discussion with women creators in partnership with ASIFA India on Thursday, 25th March 2021. The discussion involved conversations on filmmaking and the VFX industry in India. 

Sameer Pitalwalla, Business Director- India/SEA, Epic Games, “The VFX industry is at a dynamic stage in India right now. We are thrilled to introduce this immersive training program for women creators, storytellers, producers, VFX, and animation professionals to equip them with the power of technology that Unreal Engine can provide to them in taking their game up in the profession. We hope the participants have an enriching training experience.”

The workshop training will cover the VFX industry’s relevant themes such as Animation and DCC workflows, World Building and Terrain Tools, Lighting and Post Processing, Material Editor, Sequence, Livelink, and Blueprints.
