Demo for Raji: An Ancient Epic is out on Steam

Gamers have long been waiting for the release of ‘Raji: An Ancient Epic’ on PC, the Indian game that took the industry by storm.

The game is planned to be released on October 15th, but the demo is now available on Steam.

Raji is an indie action game developed by India’s Nodding Head games and published by Super.

Raji: An Ancient Epic is an action-adventure game set in ancient India, where a young girl named Raji is chosen by the gods to stand against the demonic invasion of the human realm. The game revolves around the girl’s destiny to face the demon lord Mahabalasura and save her little brother.

Raji was the first Indian indie timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch and was released in the month of August.

Gamers have experienced the Nordic, Greek, Egyptian, Japanese mythologies through titles from other publishers. But, Raji is perhaps is the first game that takes you so deep into the lores and the Hindu mythology.

People from all over the world have shown interest in knowing and experiencing the Indian culture through this game.

The developers of the game were also praised for the beautiful artworks and cutscenes. The game has unique katputli (puppet show) cutscenes, which makes the game stand out, giving it an authentic Rajashtani feel.

A popular Indian professional esports player Tejas “rite2ace” Sawant also tweeted out saying how much he enjoyed the game.
