Call of Duty Warzone file size will reduce with the next update

With Call of Duty season two reloaded you might see lower file sizes as Activision is optimizing the game’s files. File size for Warzone will be reduced after the latest COD Warzone update.

The file size will be reduced through “data optimization and streamlining content pack” says the blog.

Activision claims that this will reduce file size for Warzone by 10.9 GB to 14.2 GB and for Modern Warfare it will be reduced by 30.6 GB to 33.6 GB, depending on the platform.

Here’s an estimated reduction you might see on each platform:

  • PlayStation 4: 10.9 GB (Warzone Only) / 30.6 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare®)
  • PlayStation 5: 10.9 GB (Warzone Only) / 30.6 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare®)
  • Xbox One: 14.2 GB (Warzone Only) / 33.6 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare®)
  • Xbox Series X / Xbox Series S: 14.2 GB (Warzone Only) / 33.6 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare®)
  • PC: 11.8 GB (Warzone Only) / 30.6 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare®)

Those players that want to play the other modes such as Special Ops, Campaign, etc. will have to download the updated & optimized content packs which will add up to more size.

The Warzone download is a larger file size than usual due to the optimization of data.
