All you need to know about Velocity Gaming’s Valorant lineup

The Valorant esports ecosystem is growing day by day and might soon become just as big as any other esport. It is not only about the tournament organizers, but also the teams are performing well in the game. Valorant esports is on a steady rise in the Indian ecosystem and is expected to grow at a much more rapid rate in coming months after the launch of Indian servers for Valorant.

A large number of players in India are playing VALORANT, and teams like Global Esports, Team Tamilas, Velocity Gaming are dominating the Indian scene. Today we will talk about Velocity Gaming, which is one of the best teams in India.

About Velocity Gaming: Manoj “SENTINEL” Kasyap formed the Velocity Gaming in 2017 and registered it as an esports organization in 2019. Velocity Gaming started the journey with Rainbow Six Siege, later they invested in PUBG Mobile, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and many more games. After the launch of VALORANT a new FPS game, the organization entered the competitive scene by signing Team Vertigo. Team Vertigo was an org-less team made by the players themselves, they had won the AMD VALORANT Cup and Global Esports SEA Launch Tournament. The team has become the first to represent the country in an international Valorant Tournament, the PvP Esports Championship Regional Finals.

AMATERASU: Amaterasu  started his esports journey with team Overcome  in 2016, he used to play Counter Strike Global Offensive. Later he  joined Entity Gaming as a CS:GO player, and in his tenure the team won many major titles like ESL India Premiership – Winter 2019, Mountain Dew Arena 2019, ESL India Premiership – Winter 2018 and more. Amaterasu had announced retirement from Counter Strike Global Offensive on 14th Feb, 2020. After the launch of VALORANT Amaterasu has started playing the game casually and then he and other players formed a new team  Team Vertigo to play Valorant professionally.

rite2ace: Tejas “rite2ace” Sawant is ex-professional Counter Strike Global Offensive Player who is currently playing VALORANT  for Velocity Gaming. Tejas has started his Esports journey in 2014 by playing  Counter Strike Global Offensive for Team Wolf. Tejas is known for his appearance in ESL One : Cologne 2014 Major with the Indian team called Team Wolf where they ended at 13-16th rank. His last tournament was DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Asian Open Qualifier where he represented Team Global Esports, they finished 17th place. He took retirement from CSGO and started playing VALORANT professionally in 2020.

Antidote: Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose is a professional VALORANT  player who is  currently playing for Velocity Gaming. He started his professional esports journey with the Counter Strike: Global Offensive in 2016, he has played for various Indian Teams. Last he played for the Global Esports in Indian LAN Gaming Season 3. In VALORANT Antidote usually plays the support role with his weapon of choice being the Operator, Antidote plays the agent Jett as suits his playstyle and is a powerful agent in the ongoing Operator + Jett combo meta.

Vibhor: Vibhor “Vibhor” Vaid is an professional VALORANT player who is currently playing for Velocity Gaming. He was also part of Team Vertigo with the Amaterasu, Antidote, Excali and rite2ace, which later was aquired by the Velocity Gaming. Vibhor’s favourite VALORANT agent is Cypher.

Excali : Karan “Excali” Mhaswadkar is an Indian professional VALORANT  player who currently plays for Velocity Gaming. Excali is a retired Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who last played for Entity Gaming. Karan started his gaming career in 2015 with the TradeMarc Gaming where he started playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive professionally. He announced his retirement from CSGO on 4th Feb, 2020.

hellFF: Sagnik “hellFF” Roy has joined Velocity Gaming recently previously he is playing for the Global Esports. Global Esports have completed the transfer of hellFF to Velocity Gaming after a poaching situation between the two organizations. So both organizations decided to complete the transfer process.
