Battlefield 2042 on PC gets price drop in India and other Asian regions
Battlefield 6 i.e. Battlefield 2042 has dropped in price on PC in various regions across Asia including India. According to data available on SteamDB, the prices have dropped in multiple regions for all the 3 editions of the game on PC(Thanks: IGN India).
Battlefield 2042 PC price has dropped in the following regions:
- India
- Hong Kong
- Indonesia
- Taiwan
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
These are the regions we could find the price drops for. The prices might’ve also dropped in some other regions as well that we are unaware of.
As you can see in the above images the price changed a few days ago on July 12, 2021 for multiple regions in Asia.

For some reason there is no price change for the Ultimate Edition in Thailand.
There’s no solid information on why Electronic Arts, the publisher has adjusted the pricing of the game. One could assume it’s because the prices were already quite high for the Asian market and maybe EA realized that the purchasing power here in the Asian market is quite different as compared to the West.
It’s also important to note that Battlefield 2042 does not have a single-player campaign. It made a lot of people think if it is worth paying such a premium price for a multiplayer only experience. The price drop would surely make it easier for the Asian buyers to decide.
Overall it’s a great decision as the price drop will surely increase sales for the game, which will indirectly benefit the player base and the community, especially in the Asian regions.
