Back 4 Blood DLC will be playable for all party members if the party leaders owns it

During E3, developer Turtle Rock Studios showcased the gameplay for their upcoming multiplayer FPS, Back 4 Blood.

During the showcase Turtle Rock Studios confirmed that DLCs owned by party leaders will be playable for all party members in PvE mode. This means, if your party leader owns a paid content drop, you will be able to play the content with them. This includes maps, gameplay and campaign.

Turtle Rock Studios doesn’t want those that don’t own a DLC be at an disadvantage, even in the PvP mode.

In PvP, everyone who bought Back 4 Blood can get access to all additional PvP content, even without purchasing content drops.“, says the Back 4 Blood team.

Players that don’t buy the content DLCs can earn new playable characters and new ridden in PvP through progression for free. Also Turtle Rock Studios has said, “all pvp players have access to the same cards at the start of each match, regardless of whether those players have purchased content drops or not.”

The problem with DLCs in multiplayer games is that it can separate the community. Usually once a developers releases DLC content, the community for the game becomes split between those who own the DLC and those who don’t. The decision by Turtle Rock Studios will make sure such problems won’t rise for Back 4 Blood.

This is a great decision by Turtle Rock Studios as now those that own a DLC won’t face any issues while playing with their friends who don’t own it.

E3 host Greg Miller also took to Twitter sharing the same, saying, “Back 4 Blood is doing it right“.

You can read more about this in the full announcement posted on the Back 4 Blood website.
