Yes, you read the title right, a chicken nugget that looks similar to an Among Us crewmate has been sold for $99,997 on eBay. An American who goes by the name ‘polizna‘ on eBay, recently found a chicken nugget that looks like a ‘crewmate‘ from the popular game Among Us in a BTS Combo Meal from McDonald’s. He put up the chicken nugget for sale on eBay and the nugget now has been sold for nearly $100,000.
According to a report by BBC News, there were 180 bidders before the auction closed on Friday morning with the last bid being for $99,997. You can checkout the listing and other related details here.
The official Among Us account also tweeted out about it a few days ago when the listing first appeared.
Since the listing of the nugget there has been one more similar nugget listed on eBay by a user ‘mohalaar_85’ from Turkey.
Now although this nugget doesn’t have as much resemblance, it still has caught attention of many and at the time of writing the bid is at EUR 11,750.00.
Of course this isn’t the first time gamers have spent a crazy amount of money on items that resemble something from their favorite game, but still it is fascinating how people are ready to spend so much for a nugget that goes bad in just 14 days.
