Horizon Forbidden West development is on track but there’s no release date just yet
Yesterday in Sony’s State of Play digital live stream Sony & Guerrilla Games showcased gameplay for Horizon Forbidden West.
The 14 minutes gameplay revealed a new locations, a new outfit for Aloy, new powers, new tools, new enemies and a lot more.
Following the reveal, some fans of the franchise were disappointed as no release date was revealed during the live stream. Horizon Forbidden West being one of the biggest upcoming releases on the PS5 platform already has a lot of hype around it.
Addressing the fans, Guerrilla Games took to twitter sharing the below mentioned tweet.
Thanks for watching our #HorizonForbiddenWest gameplay reveal! We don't have an exact release date just yet, but development is on track and we will have an update for you very soon – thank you as always for your ongoing support!

Guerrilla Games mentioned in the tweet that they don’t have a release date just yet, but the development is on track. The developer will be sharing an update on the development “very soon”. One has to wonder if the development is indeed on track as a few months ago there were rumors about the game getting delayed to 2022.
Now there’s not much that the fans can do besides hoping that the game does come out this year as planned. As for the gameplay, it’s quite impressive and the newer tools and powers just adds more layers to the gameplay.
