Undertale is now on the Xbox Game Pass service

Undertale is coming to the Xbox Game Pass service. Yes, that’s right. Xbox recently made the announcement in a blogpost on Xbox Wire.

We know it’s been a long time coming, but we’re extremely excited to finally be bringing Undertale to Xbox players the world over. Whether it’s your first time exploring the underworld or your 50th, we hope the experience will be unforgettable!”, said John Ricciardi, Executive Director, 8-4 in the announcement.

Undertale is a 2D indie RPG developed by Toby Fox. It is a story of a child who falls into the Underground where he meets various monsters on his way back. You control the child’s interactions and choices. He has to fight monsters upon his way back where you get to decide whether to kill the monsters or pacify or subdue them and spare them. The choices you make affect the game’s story, outcomes, characters and dialogues.

The Xbox version will be very similar to the PC release with little enhancements for console.

Similar to previous console releases, the Xbox version features its own little…shrine, one might say…of exclusive content to look out for.” said Ricciardi.

He also clarified that both the versions aren’t compatible with each other, meaning if you’re an existing player on PC you might not be able to copy over your save files and continue your progress on the Xbox version and vice-versa.
