Crossplay and cross-generation-play are coming to Watch Dogs: Legion Online mode

Ubisoft has recently been replying to several users on Twitter who have been requesting for crossplay and cross-generation-play.

While crossplay and cross-generation-play is currently not available for the Watch Dogs: Legion Online Mode, the development team is working on adding this feature to the game with a later update” the tweet says. There’s no release date or release window mentioned though.

While Ubisoft says it is working on crossplay and cross-generation-play, the online mode for the game is still not available on PC. Yes, Ubisoft recently delayed the online mode for Watch Dogs: Legion on PC as the mode made the game crash on systems that use a certain GPU. The online mode for PC was supposed to go live on March 9, but has now been delayed indefinitely.

Watch Dogs: Legion was marketed with cross-buy support, meaning users that purchase the game for Xbox One can play it on a Xbox Series X|S, similarly PlayStation 4 copy can be played with PS5.

Now it’s been over 4 months since the initial release. The big concern here is that it might be too late for the features now. Watch Dogs: Legion released back in October 2020 and by now most users that own the game must’ve completed the single player story mode. Will these players come back to the game?
