CDPR Statement:

The Cyberpunk 2077 devs at CD Projekt Red have apologized for all the issues gamers around the world are facing, especially the ones on last-gen consoles, i.e. PlayStation 4 & Xbox One.

We would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”, says the CDPR Team in the statement. “We will fix bugs and crashes, and improve the overall experience.

Future Patches

Players should expect more updates as the developers have stated that they will be updating the game frequently.

According to the statement, a new update is coming to the game in a couple of days. The company also announced a release windows for future patches for the game.

We’ll release two large patches starting with Patch #1 in January. This will be followed by Patch #2 in February. Together these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles.” Apparently, these patches will be more focused on the last-gen consoles.

Refunds:

CDPR will also offer refunds to those that are dissatisfied by the game.

If you are not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy.”, the statement says. CDPR has asked users that want to refund to use the refund systems for digital purchases and those that own a physical copy should request a refund at the physical store where they bought the game. But, if returning the copy isn’t possible, users can contact the support team at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com. Starting now, users can contact CDPR till December 21st, 2020. That’s exactly one week for whoever wants a refund.
