Borderlands 3 is getting Season Pass 2 and new game modes

According to a recent announcement by Gearbox Software and 2K Games, Borderlands 3 will be getting its second Season Pass on November 10, 2020.

The ‘Season Pass 2‘  will add the ‘Designer’s Cut’ and ‘Director’s Cut’ DLCs. The Designer’s cut will feature a brand new game mode called ‘Arms Race’ and an additional skill tree for each Vault Hunter.

We can assume that the Arms Race mode will be a deathmatch mode where everyone will start with the same weapon and weapon upgrades will be provided as a reward for kills to first to finish all the weapon levels wins.

The developers have planned a series of live reveal events to showcase the latest additions to the game and the new game modes. As of now there are 4 events planned that will range from October 20 to October 30.

Note: A copy of the Borderlands 3 game is required to play the Season Pass 2 content.

The Season Pass 2 will begin on November 10 with the Designer’s Cut.

No details on the Director’s Cut have been revealed yet. All we know is that Director’s Cut will also feature a new game mode and is planned to release sometime in Spring 2021. Gearbox Software will share more information about Director’s Cut before the release.

Borderlands is an award-winning  loot-based role playing FPS game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games. The game was released on September 13 of 2019 and is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, MacOS and Windows on PC.

The game will also be available for PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S on launch as an free next-gen upgrade.
