Valve addresses the DOTA 2 community about TI10 and DPC events

Fans have long been waiting for the DOTA 2 TI10, which was delayed due to the pandemic, just like the Rio CSGO Major.

The fans would’ve witnessed the TI10 this month if it wasn’t postponed because of the pandemic.

Valve tweeted out saying, they can’t confirm any dates for TI10 or DPC(DOTA Pro Circuit) due to the unpredictability of the pandemic.

Valve will be releasing an update about TI10 soon.

Valve also shared clips of the past tournaments for fans to revisit & relive the moments

Valve will be releasing such clips till August 31st as a way to remember and cherish those moments at past TI tournaments.

It is hard to say if we will be seeing any esports LAN event this year let aside a major tournament like TI10.

Factors like social distancing for security of the people, traveling to the venue, threat of the virus spreading are delaying any physical tournament to take place.

If the situation doesn’t improve many TOs (Tournament Organizers) will have no other choice but to postpone the tournaments to next year. That will displease a lot of fans, bit it will be the right thing to do, considering the gravity of the situation.
